Erhan Bener: İnsan Ruhunun Zengin Tanıklığı
Anahtar Kelimeler
It
would be wrong to describe Erhan Bener, who stood out as a psychological
novelist in the early years of his career, as just a psychological novelist,
considering all his works. Bener, one of the most productive writers of our
literature, wrote 24 novels and 8 story books in his long-term literary life,
as well as works in different genres such as theater, memoir-stories and
essays, as well as two children's books. The author, who does not deviate from
the main rules of realistic aesthetics, actually questions/investigates only
one thing through a wide variety of plots: to comprehend human reality within
its social reality and psychology. Erhan Bener, who exhibits the spiritual/social-based
transformation of the individual and the society in which he lives in the
period from the 1940s to the 2000s in his works, also makes determinations
about the universal truth of man and society at various stages of the
modernization adventure of Turkish society. The aim of this study is to
emphasize Erhan Bener's versatility as a Republican Era writer and the thematic
richness of his works.
