This study analyzed 696
publications obtained from the Web of Science database using specific keywords
using bibliometric methods in order to reveal scientific developments in the
field of furniture innovation. The study examined the number of publications,
author and institutional collaborations, country-based productivity, keyword
usage, and citation distribution. According to the analysis, the number of
publications remained low until 2006, but increased from that year onward,
reaching a peak of 52 publications in 2017. There is a difference between the
most productive and the most cited authors. The most cited study is the article
titled "Knowledge bases and regional innovation systems: comparing Nordic
clusters." On an
institutional basis, the most productive institutions and the most cited
institutions are different. The
most influential institution has been Lund University in Sweden. Although China was the most
productive country, it fell behind in the number of citations, while Italy
stood out in terms of both productivity and impact. According to the collaboration
analysis, A.P. Barcic is the author with the most collaborations, and the UK is
the country with the most international collaborations. It has been determined that the
concepts of "design", "sustainability" and
"competitiveness" are used as frequently as "innovation"
and "furniture".
