Cholangiocarcinomas is the general name of epithelial cell malignancies on
the biliary system. These malignancies account for approximately 15% of liver
cancers and 3% of all gastrointestinal tract cancers. They also cause 2% of
cancer-related deaths in the world. The diagnosis of cholangiocarcinomas, where
the surgical procedure is determined according to the tumor location, made by
imaging methods. As preoperative preparation, procedures such as biliary
drainage and increasing the remaining liver method are applied to the patient.
It is important that the treatment planning and management process, which
requires a multidisciplinary approach, be carried out in large centers.
