Geriatri Ve Alt Gastrointestinal Sistem Kanserleri
Anahtar Kelimeler
Gastrointestinal cancers, primarily colon cancer, are
the most common cancers worldwide. The incidence of these cancers significantly
increases from the 60s onwards. In geriatric populations, certain symptoms
should be alerting for gastrointestinal tumors. Small intestine tumors,
although their frequency increases with age, are much less common and have very
different histological structures compared to colorectal tumors. Colorectal
tumors represent an important health problem that can be diagnosed and treated,
either through screenings or by considering the symptoms of patients, with an
average diagnosis age of over 65 years.
