Treatment of acute or chronic diseases during
pregnancy may be complicated by the possible effects of medications on the
fetus. In case of a pre-existing chronic disease, without causing the condition
of the pregnant woman to worsen; A risk assessment should be made for
continuation of current treatment or alternative medications. In this section,
we aimed to compile the categories of drugs used in gastrointestinal (GI)
diseases that are common during pregnancy on the basis of disease groups.
