The Department of Pharmaceutical Microbiology within the Faculty of Pharmacy, Department of Basic Pharmaceutical Sciences studies the structures and properties of microorganisms that cause infections and microbiological methods used in the diagnosis of these infections. In this department, topics such as antimicrobial agents, production of microbial-derived products, quality controls, sterilization-disinfection methods, new generation vaccines, hormones, antibiotics, vitamin production and hygiene are investigated. The Department of Pharmaceutical Microbiology specializes in the study of morphological, physiological, clinical characteristics and treatment methods of infectious microorganisms by conducting multidisciplinary studies with different departments.
