Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) is the most
common cause of elevated liver enzymes and carries the risk of progression to
liver cancer and cirrhosis. As the global population ages, the prevalence of
NAFLD is also increasing. Increase in comorbid diseases with age and the
prominence of certain age-related factors create diff.
