Endoscopic procedures in normal population are well
tolerated, effective and safe. In pregnancy, endoscopy is a special procedure
that needs both fetal and maternal close monitoring, detailed and
multidiciplinary approach. Herein, we aimed to review the indications of
endoscopy in pregnant women, their anesthetic management, and effect of these
procedures to pregnant women and fetus.
