animal science is a multidisciplinary branch of science that contributes to the
human use of laboratory animals in biomedical researches and to the acquisition
of unbiased and reproducible data. In order for the studies conducted in this
field to be repeatable and the data obtained to be comparable, environmental
characteristics must be defined and the characteristics of the animal studied
must be kept constant or regulated. In this section, the genetic and
microbiological standardization methods to be applied for these regulations are
mentioned.
