The association between sleep health and cardiovascular
health has been studied since decades, and both preclinical and clinical data now indicate
that there is an ample, linear and bidirectional relationship among them. Although the pathophysiological
contributors of this relationship are not entirely known, mental health emerges
as the most prevalent modulator which is substantially linked with both sleep health and
cardiovascular health. In order to improve health related outcomes, it is of utmost importance
to understand the association among these conditions both at the community and individual
level.
