Sarcoidosis
Sarcoidosis is a chronic granulomatous multisystem disease of unknown etiology. It is an inflammatory disorder which is known since 1800s. The granulomas are typically noncaseating; and as this granulomas may occur in malign neoplasms, mycobacterial or fungal infections it is important to keep in mind these disorders in differential diagnosis. Sarcoidosis is a middle-aged people's disease. The lungs and intrathoracic lymph nodes are >90% affected and the clinical presentation is often asymptomatic.
