Preoperative and postoperative care services are indispensable for surgical management. Early postoperative care, which started to be implemented by Henrik in 1997 in history, has been developed until today. It was created as an association, ERAS, an abbreviation for enhanced recovery after surgery. The ERAS protocol included evidence-based practices that were applied before, during, and after surgery in obstetrics and gynecology. The procedure covers care services from 30 – 60 minutes before the elective operations until post-discharge care. Thus, the use of Morphine and the need for intravenous fluid intake are reduced; it is aimed to increase patient satisfaction and compliance.
